Honoring Childhood

Our Mission
At Emerge Preschool, meaningful learning grows through relationships. We honor childhood as a time rich with possibility, where children are valued as capable, curious participants in their learning. Through everyday experiences, we nurture a community where children, families, and educators grow together, deepening understanding and belonging.

Our Values
We envision Emerge as a community where a deep respect for childhood inspires the way we connect, learn, and grow together. Through meaningful relationships, we seek to nurture a shared understanding of children's rights, honoring their voices and the richness of their experiences. Our hope is that this reverence for childhood extends beyond our school, inspiring a wider community that values children as meaningful participants in the world we share.
Our Educational Philosophy
Embracing a Waldorf-Inspired Rhythm and a Reggio-Inspired Curriculum

At Emerge Preschool, we believe that childhood is deserving of reverence, and that meaningful learning grows from the relationships and experiences that shape our days. Our educational philosophy brings together the warmth and gentle consistency of a Waldorf-inspired rhythm with the curiosity and responsiveness of a Reggio-inspired curriculum, creating a thoughtful way of living and learning alongside children.

We find beauty and meaning in the everyday moments of childhood. The familiar rhythm of gathering together, preparing food, sharing stories, and caring for our surroundings creates a sense of belonging and connection. Within these experiences, children's ideas take shape, questions arise, and discoveries invite us to look more closely. Through careful observation and reflection, educators listen to the thinking of children, allowing their interests and experiences to bring new possibilities to our shared learning.

In this way, rhythm and curriculum continually inform one another. The rhythm brings warmth and intention to our days, while the children breathe life into the experiences within it. Together, they create a living educational experience that honors childhood as it is, rich with meaning, wonder, and possibility.
